Always a finalist but never a bride?…good thing I’m still a mixed metaphor

February 14, 2013

19.2-Front-Cover2 I’m happy to report that one of my stories, “Flood Savings,” has been selected as a finalist in the 2012 William Richey Fiction Contest conducted by Yemassee and judged by Matt Bell. It feels great to get a rejection that paradoxically conveys success. Only in this game, I suppose. Many thanks to the Yemassee, and I can’t wait to read the stories of the winners and my fellow finalists.
